PROshooters has begun to freshen up our website with the assistance of our good friend and Hockey Dad, Harry at Presentation Plus. We'll be adding new features and more content over the next several weeks, including a store where you'll have the opportunity to invest in some important training equipment.
We appreciate your patience as we fine tune things, and ask that you please feel free to offer suggestions on what you'd like to see on the PROshooters site.

Tim Turk with AIK's Mens Team

Tim Turk and head coach Roger Melin addressing AIK's Mens 1st team (PROS) at Hovet arena. A very focused team willing to better their individual skills to advance as a team to the Elite division league.
There a many former NHL'ers including Dick Tarnstrom on the roster, not to mention some potential future NHL'ers!
I would like to personnally thank Kaj Reisterer,Anders Gozzi,Roger Melin and Rickard Franzen for their continued support over the last 4 years!
See you guys in November!
Tim Turk and Danijela Rundqvist

Tim Turk posing with Danijela(a.k.a.Danni)Rundqvist in the locker room prior to working a skills session.
In my opinion Danni is one of the top women hockey players in the world. Always trying to improve. She will be competing for gold at this years olympics in Vancouver representing her home country of Sweden.
I have worked with Danni and some of her National teammates while in Sweden.
AIK is their club team which I have been working with for the last 4 years.(from the 97's to the mens and womens PRO teams)
Good Luck Danni! Looks like you will have to try and steal the gold from Canada! see you in Vancouver!
your friend, Tim

"If you do not pay attention and focus, how do you become a pro?" Tim Turk tries to instill that trait every where and everytime he is on the ice. The coaches love that too! A great Picture at the Bell Center...Everyone focused and paying attention, even me!

Is your stick the correct "LIE" for you?

Andrew Conboy has just signed with Montreal and will start playing with the Bulldogs in Hamilton. Here we are checking out his blade wear patterns to detect any required adjustments to his stick configuration. Congrats Conny, see you soon in Hamilton!
The tape tells the tale. . .
After using your stick for a practice or two, and prior to re-taping, take a look a the bottom of your blade. Your tape should be well worn and maybe even gone from certian areas. For example, the tape should be worn from the middle to the toe of the blade, indicating your stick has the correct "LIE" (the angle the shaft ascends from the blade) and the correct height. If the tape is worn in other areas, such as just the toe area or just the heel area...you need to CALL ME ASAP!!
Helpful hints when looking for puck consistencies

Olivier Fortier (Montreal's 3rd round 65th overall pick in the 2007 draft) and I check for puck consistencies prior to making adjustments enabling him to release the puck quicker for more positive results — like GOALS for instance!
After fine tuning and introducing new techniques, it's time to look for puck consistencies. I have players use white tape on the blade, allowing the puck to make impact marks and shooting lines along the blade. This reveals where the puck makes contact, and is released from, during control and shooting situations.
