Tim Turk gets a Messege from a buddy in Michigan!

One of Tim Turk's best buddies that he works with in Michigan every summer!! Everyone meet Thomas Kayner from Bay City.

Hi Coach Turk,
Its Thomas, I got 5 staples in my head. I got hit with a puck when it came out of the rink and it caught me perfect. It happend 2 days ago. What do you think of my form? Can you put the pic on your sight?

Tim Turk in Melnik , Czech Republic

Antoine and Peter play together in France while Ilya plays in Sweden and Bara and Roman in Melnik.

The young players and their parents organized a mini camp in Melnik Czech Rep. Over a 4 day period of intense training the players learned and worked very hard!!

 It was apleasure working with you all! and I look forward to working with them again in the near future!!

Tim Turk in Prague!

 

 
 
Tim Turk was in Prague Czech Rep. recently and worked with some special players... Please read below and get to know Bara!
 
Her name is Barbora (Bara) Sebikova, she was born 1998. Just recently she has changed her home team from Melnik to Benatky nad Jizerou (this is where she plays with the boys). She also plays with adult ladies at HC Energie Karlovy Vary and she is also member of wider base of Women Team Czech Republic U15 (for next week she she is in the nomination for two games against Germany). This summer she had been invited to the camp of Women's Development Programme organised by Czech Ice Hockey Association - this programme should result in the team for Olympic Games 2014 and further.
She also helps with the coaching of 2004/2005 boys team at Melnik.
In her very first game at adult ladies competition (September 6th, 2009 - when she was 11) she scored 3 goals.
She is forward - center or right wing.
Favorite players - Petr Ton (Sparta Praha), Patrik Elias (NHL).
Her big hockey plan is to study the University somewhere in the USA (English, coaching) and play ice hockey there.

Tim Turk is showing the Tampa Bay Lightning players Shooting technique which includes the importance of locking your "Power Arm"! This keeps the blade of your stick low to the ice and your "Grip Hand" in a high position away from your body which also helps to utilize the lie of your stick.

Tim Turk is the Montreal Canadiens skills and shooting coach. Here Tim Turk is demonstrating the importance of locking out your "Power Arm" (connected to your bottom hand on your shaft).

Pushing down creates pressure into the puck and forces flex into the shaft of your stick this intern helps the stick to shoot the puck with more KICK!

Son of Tim Turk Honoured!

Track stars. Brampton residents Jaydn Skeen-Knight, left and Jacob Turk of the Bullets Track Club received their trophies for 2011 performances at the annual Ontario Minor Track Association banquet Saturday January 21.

Two Brampton athletes were among those honoured as the Ontario Minor Track and Field Association handed out its awards to the top performers of 2011 from around the province.

Tim Turk says "Hard work and consistant training pays off"! in any sport.

Read below... Jacob Turk(right) was recently recognized as a top elite athlete in Ontario!

Jacob Turk received the award for the top senior boys thrower. The 14-year old had top results of 42.70m in the javelin, the second best ever for his age group in Ontario. He also tossed the discus 29m and the shot put more than 10m. Turk also participated in the long jump with a best jump of 5.55m and the 100m where he ran 12.6 seconds.
