Tim Turk in his 2nd year with the Tampa Bay Lightning

Tim Turk is showing the Tampa Bay Lightning players Shooting technique which includes the importance of locking your "Power Arm"! This keeps the blade of your stick low to the ice and your "Grip Hand" in a high position away from your body which also helps to utilize the lie of your stick.

Tim Turk is the Montreal Canadiens skills and shooting coach. Here Tim Turk is demonstrating the importance of locking out your "Power Arm" (connected to your bottom hand on your shaft).

Pushing down creates pressure into the puck and forces flex into the shaft of your stick this intern helps the stick to shoot the puck with more KICK!
